What Is Rhinolast Nasal Spray Used For?
Rhinolast nasal spray is a medication that is used to treat allergic rhinitis and seasonal allergies such as hay fever. Allergic rhinitis may occur all year round as it is a condition that is triggered by an allergic reaction to substances such as pollen, house dust mites, pet/animal dander or mould spores.
Rhinolast can help to relieve symptoms such as:
-
A runny or blocked nose
-
Sneezing
-
A cough
-
Nasal congestion
-
An itchy or irritated nose
-
Red, itchy, watery eyes
How Does Rhinolast Nasal Spray Work?
Active Ingredient – Azelastine Hydrochloride
Azelastine Hydrochloride is the active ingredient in Rhinolast nasal spray. Azelastine hydrochloride is an antihistamine which works by blocking the action of histamine, which is a chemical that is released during an allergic reaction. When histamine is released, an individual may experience allergic symptoms such as a runny nose, itching, breaking out in a rash or hives, and sneezing.
Rhinolast nasal spray works directly in the nose to provide fast and targeted relief. Rhinolast nasal spray works in the nose by blocking histamine from binding to its receptors on the cells of the nasal membranes. This action prevents swelling and inflammation inside the nose thus preventing the production of mucus.
Onset and Duration of Relief
Rhinolast has one of the fastest onsets of action in comparison to other nasal antihistamine sprays. It begins to work in within 15 minutes and can provide relief for up to 12 hours.
If you are using Rhinolast nasal spray during allergy season, it is best used regularly for maximum benefit and consistent results.
