What is Vydura and how does it work
Vydura is a newly developed treatment for migraine which not only provides fast and effective relief, but can also be taken regularly as a preventative treatment.
Vydura contains the active ingredient rimegepant which belongs to a group of medicines known as CGRP receptor antagonists. CGRP (calcitonin gene-related peptide) is released by the nerves when a migraine attack occurs. CGRP is involved in carrying the pain signals that contribute to your migraine symptoms. It also plays a part in widening your blood vessels and triggering inflammation. The active ingredient in Vydura, rimegepant, attaches to the CGRP target and blocks CGRP from binding to them. This helps to treat migraines and prevent them from occurring.
