Otrivine Extra Dual Relief Nasal Spray provides dual relief from a blocked and runny nose due to colds.
Otrivine Extra Dual Relief Nasal Spray is a combination medicinal product consisting of two different active ingredients: xylometazoline hydrochloride and ipratropium bromide. Ipratropium bromide reduces nasal mucus secretion with fast acting effect usually obtained within 15 minutes and lasting for an average of 6 hours. Xylometazoline hydrochloride reduces nasal mucosal swelling giving it a fast acting decongestant effect.

Active Ingredient
Xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.5 mg/ml, Ipratropium bromide 0.6 mg/ml
Dosage
Always blow your nose before using the nasal spray.
- Remove the dust cap.
- Do NOT cut the nozzle, the metered-dose spray is ready before use.
- Before the first application, prime the pump by pumping 5 times.
- Once primed the pump will remain ready for use through regular daily treatment periods.
- Should the spray not be ejected during use or if the product has not been used for longer than 7 days, the pump will need to be reprimed with 2 pumps as initially performed.
- Hold the bottle upright with thumb on actuation button.
- For a no dripping effect, stay upright and insert the nozzle into the nostril.
- Press on the button to spray and breathe in gently through the nose at the same time.
- Repeat this procedure in the other nostril.
- After each use, clean and dry the nozzle.
- Put the protective cap back on.
- One puff in each nostril, as required up to 3 times a day for 7 days, leaving at least 6 hours between 2 doses. Do NOT exceed 3 applications a day into each nostril.
- It is recommended that you stop treatment with Otrivine Extra Dual Relief Nasal Spray, as soon as your symptoms improve, even if it is after less than 7 days to minimize the risk of adverse reactions.
- If you think the effect of this medicine is too strong or too weak, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Warnings
- Do NOT give this product to children who are younger than 18 years of age or the elderly over 70 years of age.
- Do NOT use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this product.
- Do not use continuously for more than seven consecutive days.
- If symptoms persist consult your doctor.
- Do not exceed the stated dose.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- Each Otrivine pack should be used by one person only to prevent any cross infection.
- Do not freeze or use after the expiry date given.
- Always read the label/leaflet.
